In a world full of religions, Jesus Christ is calling to people… “come unto me, and I will give you rest”. At the Rock, we have a sincere desire to escape religiosity, and with passion, clarity, and realness, to seek Jesus Christ for all that He really is.
We want to be the church as it was meant to be; a community of believers who each are intimately involved with God’s desires and plans for their lives. We want to live for Jesus Christ outside church walls. Inside is a place for friendship, growth, and help; outside, Jesus Christ shining through our lives into the world.
We are a “nomadic church”. We gather together as a group for instruction, worship, and direction, but “the church” is in our homes, the parks, the beach…. wherever we are. It’s not a building, it’s a people.
We are striving to see people set free of traditions of every sort, and have the miraculous, encourging, and empowering presence of Jesus Christ pouring through their lives.
Try us out for 4 Gathering Services. You’ll find the Living God still loves people, and still does miraculous things in our midst.
At the Rock, we are dedicated to the principles of Servant-Leaders. Those who are Christians first, ministers second. Click on a name above to find out more about our ministry leaders.
Sunday Gatherings are at 10:00am, 4568 Gulf Breeze Parkway, in Hickory Shores Plaza.
The Oneness of God
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Comforter, the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). See Isaiah 9:6
The Deity of Christ
We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ, and in the perfect and true humanness of Him. Jesus is God "manifest in the flesh", and "in Him dwells the fullness of God bodily" .
The Rock is a church striving to become a 21st Century Church that is much like the 1st Century Church. We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is written with specific genres, and its words should be taken in context and their native meaning. We should not try to look at the Bible according to our opinions or traditions, but rather that we should look at our beliefs and align them with the Bible.
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
Baptism of Water
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
see Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38-39, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 19:5-6, Acts 22:16.
Baptism of Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other languages as in Acts 2:4, Acts 10:47, Acts 19:4, Romans 10:9.
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through unknown languages, interpretation of unknown languages, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. We have witnessed many, biblical miracles. We're not talking just "nice stuff", we mean miraculous healings, protection from accidents and attacks, supernatural and immediate deliverance from addictions and diseases, and many more. Jesus is the miracle worker, and He is still doing miracles today.
